VOLLEYBALL PLAYER #9
Hi everyone, I’m Padmanabhan, I began my volleyball journey in 2020 when I was in 11th standard, inspired by YouTube videos of the famous French attacker Earvin N’Gapeth, known for his dynamic style and jersey number 9. Captivated by his energy, I decided to wear the same number and joined the “Asan Sports Club” in my hometown. Under the expert guidance of my coach, Mr. Bose, I used my natural height and worked hard to develop into a strong and confident attacker through rigorous training sessions.
After completing my 12th standard, Coach Bose encouraged me to attend the sports quota trials at Loyola College, Chennai. I was thrilled to earn a place there, where I balanced my studies with intense daily practices for three years. My hard work was rewarded in 2022 when I was selected for the U19 Junior Nationals to represent Tamil Nadu. Winning the bronze medal was a proud moment for me and gave me immense match experience through C.M. Trophies and district-level tournaments.
After finishing my undergraduate degree, I returned to my hometown and continued my education with a postgraduate program at Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education, Kumaracoil, again through the sports quota. I maintained my form by helping my college team win the youth state championship and several inter-collegiate medals. My performance in All India Inter-University competitions earned me prestigious Form-3 certificates, proving my consistency and versatility on the court.
Over the years, I have developed a diverse skill set that combines power, precision, and game intelligence. My greatest strengths lie in my explosive attacking ability, strong serves, and quick adaptability during rallies. I am deeply passionate about teamwork and communication, which I believe are the heart of every great volleyball performance.
These achievements opened the door to a professional opportunity with Abinaya Global Business Hub, where I continue to play at a competitive level. Every match helps me refine my skills and strategy, and I remain as passionate as ever about volleyball—a journey that began with inspiration, grew through dedication, and continues with ambition.
